Part Time PT Customer Service Associate

Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
- Greet and assist customers in selecting floral arrangements, plants, and related products.
- Provide expert advice on floral selection, care, and maintenance.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, addressing any inquiries or issues promptly and professionally.
- Take an active role in maintaining and developing existing and new client relationships, including following up as needed to ensure complete satisfaction.
- Create custom floral wraps to enhance the presentation of bouquets and individual flowers.

Operations:
- Handle sales transactions, including processing payments and managing the cash register.
- Understand how to enter an order into DOVE and process payments.
- Provide clear and concise descriptions to ensure the intended floral design is achieved to meet customer expectations.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and contribute to a positive work environment.
-Participate in daily opening and closing procedures of the store.
- Keep up-to-date with current floral design options on the website.

Shop Maintenance:
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the shop, including the sales floor and storage areas.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring fresh and high-quality stock.
- When time permits, all sales team members should assist other areas of the store with cleaning, trash collection, dusting, restocking, and all other tasks as needed or assigned by leadership.
- The sales area must remain clean and full stocked at all times.
- Ensure the flower bar is stocked and well maintained at all times.


General:
- Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership to ensure the smooth operation of the shop.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings as needed.
- Must adhere to dress code standards.
- As an in Bloom Florist employee, you must adhere to all attendance policies and all other policies as listed and described in the employee handbook.

Qualifications:
- Prior experience in floral design, retail sales, or customer service is preferred.
- Strong creative skills with an eye for detail and a passion for floral arrangements and plant care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide exceptional customer service and build rapport with clients.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accurate order processing and shop maintenance.
- Flexibility to work varying schedules, including weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings.
- Basic knowledge of flowers, plants, and floral design techniques, with a willingness to learn and stay updated on industry trends.
- Proficiency in using POS systems and handling cash transactions.
- Physical ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds, and to stand for extended periods.
- Enthusiastic team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to support colleagues in all aspects of the business.
