The holidays are a wonderful time with family, friends, and cheer, but that doesn’t mean that it can’t be a lot. There can be so many things happening at once, in such a short period that it’s easy to become overwhelmed. If that does happen, we hope these three reminders can help you tackle the holiday season.
1. Plan Ahead
Planning ahead can help you stay organized during the holiday season. With an increase in holiday activities and parties, whether you’re hosting them or attending them, this is the time when people become busy. On top of that, there are all of the gifts to find and potential travel plans. By shopping early and pre-ordering any decorations, food, and deliveries you want the week before Christmas. You can even schedule your flowers ahead of time too! No matter what your plans are, you can find a way to make it go a little bit smoother by preplanning.
2. Say No
During this time, things can get busy pretty fast. It’s important to remember that you can’t always do it all, and you don’t have to. You shouldn’t feel obligated to say yes to every party, dinner, or activity you’re invited to if you aren’t up for it. Always saying yes to activities when you don’t want to can lead to more stress
3. Take Time for Yourself
During the holiday season, it’s easy to forget to spend time with yourself and take a breather. Whether it’s going for a walk, reading, or anything else that will allow you to spend time with yourself without interruption. Something like Flower Happy Hour can allow you to get out of the house and smell the roses, (literally and metaphorically). Having you time is the perfect way to regroup so you can enjoy the rest of the holidays with friends and family.
