Picking The Perfect Desk Plant

Boss’s Day is quickly approaching and nothing says “I appreciate you” more than a desk plant! But what plants work best in your office conditions? We picked out our top four office plants to help you pick the best one for the best boss.

1. Snake Plant

Snake plants are an excellent choice when it comes to office plants. They are the ultimate low light plant and they also don’t need to be watered often. They only require water when their soil is completely dried through, which can take anywhere from two weeks to a whole month. If your boss is likely to forget for a while it’s okay. They’re not the biggest fans of cold weather, so sitting on a cozy desk away from the AC vent is the perfect place to keep them. Snake plants are great for the traveling, hands-off boss. 2. Pothos

This thin vine plant is a lot tougher than it looks. It doesn’t take much for it to grow.  It pretty much can handle any office condition you put it in. Its beautiful vines can grow gracefully long. If you hang it from the cabinets or cubicle walls, it can really enhance the office space! They’re perfect for making a statement and bringing the jungle vibes indoors. 3. Succulent
Succulents live their best lives in bright, direct sunlight. If you’re lucky enough to work near a window they love to hang out on a sunny windowsill. They are slow-growing and remain on the smaller side, which is great for an office with limited space. Like snake plants, succulents don’t need to be watered until the soil is completely dried . You can gift your boss a single succulent, or surprise them with a full succulent garden!

4. Phalaenopsis Orchid
An orchid can bring life into an office space. The Phalaenopsis Orchid enjoys low to medium light, so they’ll do the best at a desk. Taking notice of leaf color is a good way to make sure they’re getting enough light. Orchids leaves should be bright green. If they start to look a little dark, move them closer to the window to help brighten them up! Shop Orchids here>>
