What Is Petal It Forward?
Petal It Forward is a goodwill initiative started by the Society of American Florists where we hand out two bouquets to a stranger, one to keep and one to share with someone else. Throughout the country, and even in other countries, 580 floral businesses participated in this event. The purpose of this event is to share the “powerful message of how flowers are scientifically proven to help reduce stress and stimulate positive emotions.” (safnow.org)
Participating In Petal It Forward.
We made a lot of people’s day throughout the Lake Mary community! We broke up into groups, went to small local businesses in the area from coffee shops to bridal shops, and even handed bouquets out to random strangers throughout Lake Mary’s parking lot! The feedback from the community and the businesses as we passed out these bouquets was so humbling for the team.
We are thankful to be 1 of the 580 participating flower shops in the U.S. and to be part of such an amazing cause. To everyone who received a bouquet, we hope it made your day just a little bit brighter. We look forward to participating in this event again in the future!
